the below walkthrough is for the version in my video.
the regular walkthrough is with pictures and explanations. After that there is a quick explanation on how to get the other 4 endings, and lastly my thoughts on what is going on.

So we know this woman Darcy is kinda dodgy, and while she refused to talk to anyone, she suddenly choses to talk to us. i'm not quite sure who we are, but I assume we're a doctor at the Insmouth mental hospital (seriously haha) - anyways we have a folder with some info to help us, and as the game says, not everything is a contradiction, and it took me many, many attempts to figure shit out. so here we go
at first she tells us her name is Heather, clearly from the info we have with a picture and all - her name is Darcy. when confronted with this, she tells us that Heather is her nickname.
Then we ask her where she is from, she tells us she is from Pensylvania - and when we look in the folder, we learn that a virgina ID was found at the scene, and we can deduct that she is probably from Virginia. When confronted, she says she always mix them up, cause they are so close - well I am not American, and American geography is not my forte, but I can use my Google-Fu and apparently there is 381 miles, or a 6 hours drive.I mean it's not far, American standards, but it's not so close you'd be confused either.
When we ask her what she majored in, saying she has a BA, she tells us she majored in Management. But when we look at the files we can see that it's Heather who majored in Management, not Darcy. She majored in Literature.. one wonders if this person in front of us is actually Heather pretending to be Darcy?
When we ask her why she thinks she was abducted, then she tells us that she doesn't know - and don't understand why, cause it's not like her family has money or nothing. But looking at the files we have, we can read a newspaper article about Darcy's dad threathening to sue the university, and further down the article we can read that he is one of Virginia's most successful lawyers. Now we know two things, YES Darcy is from Virginia, and YES her family is probably both loaded and influential. When confronted with the fact her dad is a successful lawyer she makes some excuse about him not earning 'that' much.
Eventually we ask Darcy if she had any friends or lovers at university, and she tells us she had a couple of friends but it was nothing big. We can see in the folder there are two plane tickets to Scotland (strange place to go hide really) so we know she is lying, because the tickets are made out for James Murphy who was her professor and Darcy. Again this gives me the creeping suspicion that Darcy is not Darcy at all. When confronted she tells us a story about that the professor bought them regardless, and that they weren't close.
Next we ask her if there were anyone else present at the abduction, and she claims that it was just her, and the abductor. In the files we can see that the policer found a pair of broken glasses for men, this leads me to think that the professor was there, it looks an awful lot like his glasses if you look at his photo on another page in the files. Darcy however just states that loads of people wear glasses for fashion.
Time has come to look at this page, after the shift, and we are now caught with the non-Darcy that calls itself the 'Entity'. Note the letter that has been here all along, we can read that JM felt pressured into whatever happened, and we happen to know that the professors name is James Murphy, so I assume that it's a confession of a sorts, written by him. But underneath there is something written in red ink, that is new - I wonder if he wrote that too, from another dimension trying to get to the Entity, stopping it from tricking others like it tricked him and perhaps Heather too? The red text tells us that if we don't say the incantation the world will end, but if we do it's bad news for us. And it tells us about a third option, reading the words from the picture. Right now there are no words as you can see, and this is why it's important.
because after we shift into the Entity's world, or whatever it is, then we need 4 words written, and there is 4 questions left. there are 3 lies and 1 question with no conflicts. so lets' catch us a liar.
It's worth noting that the files changed too - note the pictures of both Darcy and James changed. I am not sure why - but I suppose that James lost his glasses in this world, and therefore doesn't have them anymore? and Darcy's control is slipping so she looks more grotesque? The pages also relocated, and it would take you a little longer to find the right pages.
But let's go catch ourselves some lies, and save the world.
lie number 1
Darcy states that no one was being forced into anything, and that it wasn't a kidnapping per se. But when we look in the files, we can read a eyewitness statement, that says she is lying. The eyewitness saw two people forcing a third person out of a car and into the abandoned house where Darcy and the corpse was found. The person dragged was calling for help, while the two others manhandled them. The eyewitness says it sounded like a girl calling for help. From this we can deduct that not only is Darcy lying because someone was absolutely forced. and a question opens up, who was it? was it Darcy? The real Darcy.
Every time we catch the Entity in a lie, she will shift into a monsterous shape, and back again real quick, but that is how you know you got her. And every time she does that - you get a word. this is lie number 1, and our first word on the picture. (i wasn't fast enough with the screenshots to get a picture of her even more creepy faces)
So on to lie number 2
When questioned about the whole thing, and that she is hiding from the hunter and just had to do something fast. We know from the files, that James sent her an email, stating that he bought the plane tickets, and to do whatever she planned with 'her' and I assume that 'she' is Heather, to do it within the next couple of days - this tells me that Darcy is lying, because it was very much planned, and not a spur of the moment thing. When we catch her in this lie, she contorts, and claims that she had to be assertive with the professor (for whatever reason).
the last lie is about that she didn't know the other victim, and with that we mean the mangled corpse. She very much did, and we can prove this by confronting her with the complaint that Darcy made against Heather, and that they worked on an assignment together. After being confronted with this lie the Entity looses their shit, and demands that we do the enchantment with her.
as you can see on the screenshot, you have three choices. You can either let the timer run out, you can say the incantation, or you can examine the binder. We chose to the the last.
Because we have all 4 words now as you can see. if you messed up in your interrorgation after we entered this dimension, you will have maybe less than 4 words or none (not that it matters if you don't have 4). So click the photo as the red text suggests and read your incantation.
when you have done that, the hunter will find her, and catch her.
And we get ending 1. I think that might be the true ending, but I can't be sure of course.
So the other endings... I don't have images for that, so you'll just have to read along.
ENDING 2: to get this you just have to let the timer run out - that is the same as refusing to do the incantation with her. and you unleash the end of the world. =)
ENDING 3: you get if you show her the picture and didn't manage to get all the words, OR if you chose to do the incantation with her.
ENDING 4: is the ending you get if you just click 'procede to next question' to all the questions, or just click your right mouse button through it all. Because if you skip dialogue it automatically choses 'procede to next question' for you. This might actually be a not so bad ending after all. Cause fuck Darcy.
ENDING 5: is fun, and how you get this - is by clicking 'leave' in the start menu instead of 'begin'. that simple. I't s a great little gag.
With that out of the way, then I suppose I should say something about what I think. I think that Darcy is Heather, and Darcy in some fucked way. Because I mean by apperance it's Darcy no doubt about it, she has been identified and has a dad who is alive and would know her. But when we look at the complaint that Darcy made against Heather at the university, we learn that she was creeped out by Heather, and that Heather was coming off like she was much more interested in Darcy than the assignment, and also she would ask Darcy some weird creepy questions. This leads me to believe that she wanted Darcy to be her friend, because she wanted to lure her somewhere. And also we can read in the complaint that Darcy wasn't comfortable with bringing this up to her professor, whom was James, so they weren't close.
Also there is the glaring obvious fact that they abducted someone, and that could very well be Darcy (i think it was), and tied her to a chair, and then the Entity in Heather wanted to effortlessly slip into Darcy - but something went wrong and James glitched out of reality.
But what was James role in this? did he have a crush on Darcy? or did Heather force him? the confession letter claims he was forced.
What do you think?
