Okay as I said on my community tab, someone made a copyright strike on my channel, and it's because of a 14 minutes long shittty Demo, so buggy I couldn't finish. So when I contested it, because I am pretty sure it's just the devs who got their panties in a twist, because I thought their demo was shit. I went and checked YT, and lo and behold, there are many, many videos with this game, but you know what? They are all positive videos.
Now this is a weird blend of Danish and Turkish, but it basically means that I got a strike on the 24th of september, and that Altai Entertainment had it removed. It also says they claim the entire video (including my intro and outro for unknown reasons) and I had to google the Turkish sentence, but it basically means 'without our permission'. So the strike is about the entire video, and because I posted it without permission from Altai Entertainment. I will bet my fucking pension, they never saw the video, they just swung the hammer because of the title.
while I won't post all the screenshots and stuff I have right now, I'm sorta waiting for the issue to be resolved first, and it's not like I give a shit about it, because no matter what happen I'm stuck with that strike.
So I looked in to the devs, and found the company called altai entertainment.
As you can see here, it states that the game is developed, and published by altai entertainment. And while not included in the screenshot, you can click here and go to the site yourself and see that it's listed as 'beta' or 'early access'.
And if you click on the community and bug report link, you find page after page of people asking for bugs to be fixed, and one dev answering that they are on it. But it's the same issue people were reporting as a game breaking bug for the demo, and for the full game. And no changes or bugfixes has been made, look in the devlog and there are no bugfixes.
One wonders, how the demo, which was published as a demo, suddenly is called 'prologue' without any fixes or changes, and then the full game launched as early access on August 30. And I have to wonder why there is such an insane discrepancy between the steam comments, both on the store site, and the community forums - and Youtube.
And Steam:
Now before you think I just show you the negative remarks from Steam, well I AM, but even the positive are 'buggy, shouldn't be released'.
And if you go into the community tag it's post after post asking for help with possible bugs, and no answer from the devs. none.
Now because of the strike, I had an email. And I started to look around, because this struck me as really really odd. I mean the entire business practice was super strange. And I was surprised I couldn't find them in the registered database of companies in Turkey (and while not an EU country, they really want to be - so some things are the same there as here. and every company must register with the state.) but what do you know? altai entertainment is not, and neither are either the two founders registered to any company I could find at least.
Now I am not posting anything here with peoples real names, even if all this is public surface web data, but I will leave a bunch of links for you to look at if you want to. And dude I could be right, I could be wrong. This could be something, or it could be nothing. It is just me on my lonesome playing internet detective, because I had a hunch about people like 'that', who strike a damn video without any prior communications, or attempt to speak to me and ask me to remove it. But I do have the screenshots if anyone else want to pick up playing internet detective, because I am quite sure there's more to this. I think it's a modus operandi, but I simply can't prove it, so I won't make a case for it.
Now if you look up the company you won't find any real information, which struck me as odd, why doesn't it say when the company was started? Try as I may I could not find that information anywhere, besides one place that said 2023 without more elaboration.
So at one point I stumbled over this.
it's altai entertainments instagram. Notice the name there? Altai Games Studio.. I was fucking right, there were another company before, so I started to look into that. And what did I find?
I found a singular game, published in 2017, abandoned in 2020 - no bugfixes.
So why you might ask yourself? Stick those bad boys in a bundle, and your good to go. But wait it gets weirder than company closure and opening with the same unregistered 'owners'.
I suddenly noticed that it said that Pharmacy Simulator was published but someone else, as in not Altai Entertainment. But a company called Metix Billism, and an extra person never mentioned in the dev team before, clearly Mr. Emir's relative. BUT if we look into Metix Billism, we find this.
Why do they feel a need to say they are verified? - that is odd, and makes me think they are anything but. Also because they are not listed anywhere besides if you start to dig deep, when I after a lot of digging finally found a website url for this 'publisher' I find this https://metix.com.tr/
which is a company that sells 'growth' to small to medium companies.
They publish fuck all, they are a consultant firm, if that. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt even if it's sorta dodgy that so many links on a website for something that allegedly sells solutions, doesn't work. https://metix.com.tr/
But there is also something called Metix Bilisim AS, and being a shareholder company is of course a whole different ballgame, and so I assume this is a different company. But when you click on their page you're met with this. https://www.metix.com.tr/hizmetler.html
Very professional looking Lorem Ipsum text, and some colorful stock images. Again, I have no proof, but I would be immensely surprised if this is legit.
What sort of weirds me out is that both urls are the same, and it seems like the metix bilisim sitte. Is in a subfolder of the mainpage (AS)?! I don't know man. I can't explain it. And when you check linked in, you get a bunch of different Turkish digital marketing firms, all connected it seems - linking to these two sites... but you know what they are not? Publishers.
What the hell? I honestly can't figure out what this even is, and I am fed up with trying to read badly translated Turkish tech stuff. If you can make sense of this, I'd love to hear it. And before you ask, I cannot find any company called Metix Bilism that has anything to do with publishing, but perhaps my google fu is fucked.
Another 'funny' thing I found, was that even if other pages claim that Metix Bilism published pharmacy simulator, but according to Steam, it's only the demo they published. The demo that doesn't exist anymore for some reason, probably because the demo became the prologue, that is my best guess.
And because I keep names out of this, I will just stop here and attempt a conclusion.
I find it curious that altai game studios is scrubbed from where most people would look, and even the only game they listed as making is detached from the curator/dev page on Steam. And if it was because they wanted to start over, why is Wild Wolf still available in it's abandoned buggy form for €10? my best guess is passive earning, from people who can't be arsed to ask for a refund, or bundles. And it would also mean that the money goes somewhere, - and this is purely speculation, but I would think that is why it's not flat out deleted as a publisher/developer on steam, because it is in fact the same company as altai entertainment, at least linked-in seem to suggest that. Because it doesn't matter which of these companies you look up, you will be directed to altai entertainment.
It also sorta makes sense that the demo is suddenly taken down, and is now listed with individual dev names, and Metix Bilism as publisher, because Altai entertainment want to distance itself in the longer run, because neither of the devs names or Metix Bilism links to anything else, the demo is a dud, but it also allows for them to remove the comments, which were pretty negative.
Where that weird non existing publishing firm comes in, and if it really IS that digital marketing solution firm in some shape or other, which published something, I really don't know, it does my head in with all those firms. And perhaps that is why.
I could be completely off here, but I wonder why it's one of the devs, Mr. Emir, who demanded my video taken down - not the publisher. or is Mr. Emir the publisher - fucked if I know.
There is just something very fucking wrong with all of this, and I don't think that Altai game Studio was the first company either, people who does this keep doing it, and often have a history of doing it. I am dead sure I'd know more if I could be bothered logging into linked-in, but I'm not.
Am I salty? damn right i'm salty, but most of all because it's bullshit. I harped on their buggy shit, and they didn't like it. But they can fucking bring it, cause I didn't even make it past day 1, cause the game is unplayable. And if that relative that is suddenly a dev too has anything to do with anything, I don't fucking know, maybe he really DID come in from the side to help them fix the game.
