So first up, the puzzle solutions.
Look around, and you can pick some things up right away. Also the window is a dud for now, and the reflection of the poster is not important either, that threw me for a loop, cause i was sure there was a reason for the reflection - but not in this demo.
Look at the poster and note down the runes on the bullets, and go to the bookshelf and sort the books.
Look at the safe in the bookshelf, note the hieroglyphs, two numbers is on the calendar next to the door, and the two last is revealed when you solve the sliding puzzle on the table.
Use the key on the drawer under the weird machine, and then combine in your inventory (ngl, that took me a very long time to figure out, the combine system was anything but intuitive for me)
Combine the alcohol burner and your alcohol in your inventory, and then go back to the weird machine, solve the tube puzzle (the screenshot includes the right solution). Now if you don't add things in the right order, it just won't do anything. (i hate that) - but first it's the flask, then the burner, and then the glass. Use your matches on it, and turn the little valve above the glass.
Go stand in front of the mirror and down the drink. I can't say why i thought that was logic, but I think it's a very Rusty Lake thing to do.
Now everything has a green fog. And you ought to look at everything again, because some things changed. and now some things glow.
note the skulls make some nodes when you click them.
The next two runes are just there for the taking.
Add the runes to the eye, and play the mini game - you know how it goes, click where they eye looks, and you'll get these nodes and a keyhole.
Give the finger to the zombie hand and get the key. Step through the portal and you beat the Demo.

Now the showerthoughts.
Surely I am not the only one who played Nocturne? But I couldn't help but to note the similarities and I don't know if it's on purpose or not.
This was such an awesome game, and I actually originally played it because I was a HUGE fan of the Blair Witch games. Do you remember them? I still have all these as physical copies. hahaha
Anyways, it was not Blair Witch I wanted to talk about, but Nocturne. It was an AWESOME game, and while it's kinda hard to find a good (as in not potato) image of Stranger, then I managed to find this.
So if he wasn't wearing sunglasses, or were aiming with guns - I'm sure you can see what I mean. Besides the visual choices in where the main character in Strange Case, looks sorta like Stranger, there is the title itself "STRANGER case" - It's a reach, and as I said, shower thoughts. And it's not like the games are anything alike - still i just thought I'd put it out there.
Sadly Nocturne became Blood Rayne - and well the game was heaps better than the damn movie, then it's still just not good - and most of all, it's not Nocturne. Thing is that Nocturne is not licensed anymore, so you can legally download a free copy should you come across one - that is kinda neat.
