Adult games dilemma.

I made another post that I removed before anyone saw it; mostly because I felt like I had explained myself really badly. I somehow made it sound like my dilemma was 'yaoi centered games'. which it is not.

Nitro Chiral made games like Sweet Pool & Togainu no Chi (lost blood). Both games are at their core Horror games, but they are also Yaoi.  And I tried to look at YT, but only found the "clean" version of Sweet Pool, which is a shame.

I mean I get it, because Sweet Pool is very violent, gory and unsettling. But to keep the kiddie filter on (it's a question of activating the adult content or not) is a disservice to the game imho. And I wish I could show you both games, because they are absolutely fucking amazing!

But I don't think it can be done on "surface YT" even if I tag them +18. Google it, and you'll see the only sites that does feature the uncensored version of Sweet Pool, are porn sites. Which is just so weird to me, I mean - it is not a porn game, it is a horror game. A very gory one at that!

So what I did, was to download the demos to both these Nitro Chiral games from steam (even if I own both games) and played them before. I am thinking the Demos (even if i never actually DID play the demos before) ought to be pretty tame, and based on that I'll figure out what to do.

As I mentioned in the now deleted post on this blog, I was thinking of making the videos hidden, and then post the playlist here as a link, perhaps making a notice in my community tab. That way I am keeping it off YT, but also I give those who want to see these great games, a chance to do so - without the goddamn kiddie filter.

The kiddie filter takes both the smut, and the gore. It also takes some of the more brutal dialogue, and only hints at stuff. Which is so fucking weird to me, I mean it's like a rap track that had all the swear words bleeped out. It just becomes pointless and disjointed.

But for now I am going to play those demos, and if they are somewhat "family friendly" I will upload them to my channel, and go from there.

EDIT: I did make the playlist, you can find it here Algernon's playlist or at the top of the blog. there is only one video there for now, it's very tame - and basically just a test.
