About this Channel and AI

Felt like addressing this. And I do know that I can't convince anyone, nor do I want to. It might sound really hard, but I don't care what you think about the use of AI. This post is here to address what you can expect from me.

I am not against the use of AI when it's a part of a creative process, I had many, many debates about this online, and I admit I am really fed up with talking about it. Perhaps also the reason for writing this entry.

So - as you might know, I don't have a camera, and I don't have a microphone - And will use a silly sprite, and TTS if I were to talk in a video. I know many are against TTS, and I have yet to hear a solid argument that makes sense to me - people are just against it because they can. It's madness! There can be a whole lot of reasons for people using TTS, they could have some form of speech handicap, or perhaps they just don't like their voice - For instance what if your voice doesn't match your gender identity? - I am saying this because at my house this is a very real issue, and voice changers are expensive, and also sound slightly robotic.

This creator has a really good and sane take on it, and I think you should watch it, regardless if you are for or against the use of TTS.  And I might mention that TTS only reads your text for you, it's not like it makes the text. So the words are the creators script, the difference is that they don't read it out loud themselves.

I have seen many dumb arguments about this, and my favorite is 'it is soulless' or 'it has no authenticity" - which is complete bullshit, and I think it's the same people who go through replies and flag the ones with a bunch of emojis for being bots. Seriously those people are seeing ghosts everywhere. I think they are gatekeeping, that is what I think.

Now I know people who are against the use of ai in general, and we are all adults and sane people, and as long as we don't talk about that subject, or show eachother anything related to this subject - all is well. And really that is how I think it should be, we can agree to disagree.

And when I say sane, I mean it. See no one likes fucking AI videos, everyone can agree that it's content farming bullshit. What I don't think is fair is people who actually create something using AI, is bundled up with these content farms.

Not so long ago I argued with some people on the smallchannelYT on reddit, and this was because this dude asked for help with his channel, and he made creepypastas with ai images and TTS. Everyone jumped on that, and didn't even check out his damn video. I did eventually look, and it was terrible, but not in the way he was accused of, it was just shit quality. I mean unpretty and jarring, it wasn't his idea I saw faults with, but his execution. But how is he supposed to get better if he's just cancelled right off the bat?

See, this might come as a surprise - but in most of the world, no one gives a shit if it's AI or not, I only ever meet this pro/anti shit online. And I've come to the conclusion that it's very much an american thing, seems most rampant on American SoMe as well. But American or not, it's here and we gotta find a way to navigate in this.

And I did kinda start out saying 'what you can expect of me'  - So here it is.

I TAG THINGS CREATED WITH AI, BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN INFORMED CONSUMERISM.

Tadaa! That's it. Seriously, you can always be sure that if I used AI in a background or a video - it will be tagged with it, and/or I will divulge which programs, and or what is made with AI. this way you can decide for yourself if it's a deal breaker or not.

Everything else is not ai.

None of the fanmade desktop wallpapers are made with ai at all. Unless you are of the school that  editing tools, is per default AI.

If the background is made with AI I will write so below. Mostly it's made with royalty free images that I edit the snot out of.

However, the banners here on my blog, yeah many of them is made with AI images, just like the banner for this - and if that offends you, well - you're not my people. Sorry man - but I think that is very, very nitpicky. I am not selling you shit, I just made a stupid banner for my blogger.

I will bundle whatever AI stuff I have and stick it on a 'site' here so you can avoid it all together. Or seek it out if you want to. On that site I will link to other stuff, like where I store my TTS narrations, and tutorials. And if you don't like that, you can easily avoid it by NOT clicking that tab.

At one point before the internet went mad, I did have fun making AI thumbnails for videos, and I loved doing them. However, I know that AI thumbnails means people think the video is AI, which it's not, and in some way I felt like I was doing a disservice to the devs of the games, even if it was meant as a hommage when made.

I will go through my channel slowly, exchanging most if not all of the thumbnails to something else.

To move the banners where an  AI vector was used, will take time. So just know if it's AI it says so under the banner. But taken into consideration I make my intros and outros with AI stuff, if you're here you can't really be all that against it, now can you!?

Still, I insist to be transparent - so you atleast don't get in trouble with some people if you use a base banner of mine.
